Its a shame the sound quality isn't better on that, but not many early recordings are good tbh, just was the way it was back then. But it's a good set indeed. Things were picking up tbh, but so many "riffs" and "stabs" that went onto shape things for years to come.
This is another good one, bit slower but you'll hear so many things that make you go, "Ah I remember that"
I had started getting into rave in 91, started with the Prodigy and SL2, and progressed to the rest of it over the years. with a brief hiatus into House music in the middle for good measure. (House scene was mental back then)
This set blew me away back then, and kinda sealed the deal for hardcore for me.

I still find it fresh to this day tbh, I could quite happily go to a rave playing this all night, the old skool classics and the time that it was transitioning into breakbeat.
I went to a rave night about 2 years ago, Slipmatt played the slow stuff then Sy played 4 beat, and we had shades of rhythm in between, Really nice blend tbh.
So many good sets from that era, I had loads on tape. I love that production freedom.

Yeah. **** following trends.
I wish producers over the last 12 years would have had that attitude.
Some of us still have that attitude. It's a lot of the main players in 'teh scene' that seem to be making the same stuff. Hence why I don't bother with 90% of new releases.

Yeah agreed, i'd love to see people exploring freedom of the older styles.
