Hello
Not sure if anyone will be able to help me with the zero information I have - but I used to love a song: pre-2000 that I am for some reason deciding to try and track down on a Thursday evening.
It had very little base, no lyrics and was a really nice melody... at least in my mind it was. I figure I'll post on here for some possible suggestions! No worries if you all think I'm out to lunch!

You just described a huge percentage of tracks from that era.
Can you be more specific ? Play a clip of it ? Hum or whistle the melody ?

I know. I know... I'm pretty much asking someone to build me a house with one nail.
All I can really remember is that it was a slower song (HH wise), had like no base and no lyrics. If memory serves me it was a relatively shorter song as well. I think it was roughly around the same time as "Who the F* is Alice"
Everything I sampled last night to try and find it was super fast and had loads of base.
I understand that this is a complete shot in the dark - so thank you for trying to reply! I'll keep on searching. If anyone has any thoughts... maybe that thought will be right!! : ) Otherwise - carry on!

Just thought I would ask. like 98% of HH is extremely fast thumping base. The other stuff is lyrical. I figured maybe someone might have even one suggestion for a slower more melody-driven track.
You don't need to be so negative about it. Just because you have no idea what it is, doesn't mean no one else will.
