Bonkers 7 was utter shit, in fact , most Bonkers was ****ing awful. Bonkers 1 was about the only one I enjoyed, and that's before Sharkey started making that trancey shit sound and then fat **** hixxy followed him. So they brought Dougal in to appease the happy lovers, and the music had gone utter gash then anyway, so they bring in Mr Brown to appease the harder crown and he played very little.

Fk bonkers.

Bonkers 7 wasn't what you say it was. Was the first Bonkers I bought. Were some great tracks all three mixes.

Hardcore Heaven (The oriignal ones) weren't much cop tbh. Tape packs were still way more popular back then tbh.

United in Dance 6 looks good enough to me, Slipmatt, Force & Styles and Sy & Seduction mixes look good!

You didn't think the original Hardcore heaven albums were much cop! I've three of them, my favourite probably is volume 2 but volume 1 and 5 were decent also. I'll have to take a listen to some tracks from HH vol 3. Good number of classics on Volume 4 also.

Volume 6 was when things started going all bang the future. The only semi decent disk was Slipmatts.

4 or 1 was the best imo.

I guess it depends on the reason you started listening to the music.

I started listening to Happy Hardcore on the random, so my first foray into the style was through the likes of "Happy Hardcore - Shooting Star" and "Anabolic Frolic - Eyeopener" (yes, I pirated it to begin with).

I've tried to give older Brittish Hardcore a go, but I don't like it at all. It lacks the energy that was brought into Happy Hardcore through Bouncy Techno and Dutch Hardcore. So in a way, I'm thankful for Scott Brown ****ing up Brittish Hardcore :P

Force & Styles' mix on United Dance Vol.6 was epic. One of my all time faves.

And even if you didn't like that style there was plenty of variation on the other mixes. Surely Sy and Seduction's effort was more than "semi-decent".

I had to go back n listen to the Sy & Sedders mix and no, you are right its not crap, but not awesome either, I blanked it cos it's got Devotion on it. I hate that track. BUT with that said, any disk with Sy's scratching on it is worth listening to.

The Force & Styles disk has tracks that they did that I don't like, and the heart of gold remix is laughable. All the vocal anthems they did, apart from Simply Electric which is one of their best ever tracks. So no, I can't stand that disk.

Ohhh what a lovely addition, the soundbank sounds good fun :)

Can't wait for this, always had a soft spot for b6 and b7 listened to them so much growing up. Just obviously not as much as Rowan :D

Bonkers 7 was some of the first hardcore I ever heard (other than H2BHC CH3) - it had some amazing tracks.

I've enjoyed the tracks on your SoundCloud so far so looking forward to an album!

I just read that, missed it before.

Rave was before hardcore, the early hardcore as you call it, wasnt hardcore, you mean the breakbeat stuff, and it wasn't really hyper energy like the 4 beat, how could it be. It was more a feeling thing tbh, When I hear it now at old skool stuff, I kinda like it, but I came when 4 beat was emerging and it was good. But I agree about Bouncy Techno, I still just call that happy hardcore cos that's all I really listened to, and trips to Kinetic, its all you really heard. That's why Kinetic lasted so long and was the best club in the UK.
