Mr Doe is in the process of putting everything he's ever done online so I should think it would be up eventually :)

I even managed to get his remix of 'Heart Of Gold' in full, and without that annoying sample over the top.

Do you guys think Hardcore Underground are going to try to remaster every single UK Happy Hardcore release ever done?
There are literally thousands of tracks out there from labels like United Dance, Essential Platinum, Universal, Impact, UK Dance, Quosh, Stomping Toons, Fusion, Slammin Vinyl, Ravers Choice, Asylum, Maverick, Remix Records Legendary, Red Rocket

Why do people as a rule always want everything remastered? Did the originals sound that bad? if anything I love listening to original masters of old stuff because it doesn't usually have the loudness war standard applied to it. I love seeing old stuff measure DR8 or more in the dynamic range department.

Producers and record labels, please stop "loudness war" mastering everything. It sounds terrible.

I have to agree. I think the remastering of music takes away some of the charm that the originals had.
When it comes to dance music if you remaster it suddenly makes it stand out when you mix it with other tracks from the same era. Great for when you're playing out and need it to fit in alongside modern UK hardcore.......but the chances of you needing to do that in comparison to the chances that you're going to be putting it in a set of other classics, (most of which won't be remastered) relatively speaking are quite small.
Both of the in comparison to the likelyhood that the listener isn't even going to be DJing them out and will just wanting to listen to them, which is far greater. And if they just want to listen to them I'd take it back to my first thought about it ruining the charm of the original.
I think Jon Doe has already talked about this topic recently, especially in relation to streaming services, where he now does a 'gentle' master that isn't designed for clubs and is more for regular listening. :)
When you have vinyl rips though, stuff that isn't digitally sourced it's basically required to do some sort of mastering to it to fix all the EQ issues.

Will he give them out for free, or is Jon not mad about VAT tax requirement any longer? :P
