Exactly why? Does it make you feel like you're too old to listen to it?

Well, dont worry about what other people think, if thats the case. You know it nots kids music, so dont let it bother you. I just think we need more than what we have now. Cheese!!!!

If you didnt download all your music, you would know that there isnt an artist called "nightcore". Hes simply another ****er speeding up eurodance songs and trying to take credit from other peoples work.

I wouldn't have put 'Take Me Away' as a chipmunk tune. Its pitched up but not that much.

There are lots of Old Skool Hardcore tunes using really sped up vocals. Red Alert & Mike Slammer's 'Hold Tight' springs to mind.

How the sped up vocal is used has a big effect on whether I like it or not. I like where small snippets or wails are used like an instrument in a tune but generally not a fan of using whole sections of chipmunk vocals like a song ('Hold Tight' is an exception). I do have a soft spot for sped up rap samples.

The other thing is how old the tune is. The old tunes where technology was a limitation it was fair enough but modern tunes shouldn't have chipmunk vocals (pitched up maybe but not to chipmunk levels).

alot of the classic hardcore tunes have pitched up vocals.

id like to think that we have progressed a little over the years.

everything is a little more serious these days.
