Event name: Prophecy
Starts: October 6th, 2007
Country: Australia
State/Territory: New South Wales

Prophecy is our annual celebration of the harder, faster, darker edges of the ‘core spectrum, from banging Dutch hard style to stomping UK hard dance - and this October it’s going to be bigger and bolder than ever!

We’re flying in an all-star international lineup for this year’s event at the Sydney Showground, including the Dutch masters The Prophet, Headhunterz, D Passion plus five of the UK’s finest deck demons - CLSM, Marc Smith, Force 9 and Jon Doe. Mix in the cream of Australia’s DJ talent and you have a deliciously dark concoction that will keep you going all night.

Get ready to do it harder & faster you know it feels good!

INTERNATIONAL DJS

THE PROPHET
Who better to open your mind to the past, present and future of hardcore than the oracle of Dutch gabber and hard style himself, The Prophet? DJing before even acid house was invented, The Prophet (aka Dov J. Elkabas) invented the hard style as part of the legendary Dream Team at the original early 90s gabber raves in Holland. If you own a ‘Terrordome’ CD or Scantraxx Recordz release, you’ve got a taste for his magic already... We’re lucky to have him spin two unique sets under different aliases at Prophecy 2007 (true hard style fans will know the score), so get ready for a double dose of what the Dutch master calls ‘serious dance music with a smile’!

http://www.theprophet.nl

HEADHUNTERZ
Headhunterz (aka Willem Rebergen) is one of the freshest DJ/Producer talents to emerge on the Dutch hardcore scene this millennium, since winning a DJ comp with his rave-buddy Bobby van Putten/DeeJ-010 for DefQon1 only a few years ago. His first ever track ‘Check Ya Head’ was released under the name Nasty D-Tuners and became a secret weapon in hardcore DJs’ sets worldwide, landing them a deal in late 2005 with the Godfather of gabber The Prophet for his renowned ScanTraxx Recordz. Headhunterz tracks including ‘Aiming 4ur Brain’, ‘Left Some Answerz’ and ‘Victim of my Rage’ smash hard dance floors globally - you won’t want to miss hearing the man himself unleashing his fierce fury in Sydney.

DOUGAL
Dougal (aka Paul Clarke) has crafted an amazing professional raver’s career seemingly effortlessly, one week getting thousands of happy hardcore heads bouncing along in unison at a Fantazia event, the next throwing down a Bonkers mix for React. Making his name as a producer in the early-to-mid-90s with euphoric tracks such as ‘Party Time’ and ‘Feel Free’, Dougal has since appeared on just about every rave comp going, from Bonkers to Dreamscape, United Dance to Hardcore Heaven. And of course, there’s his Essential Platinum label, which boasts in excess of 100 wickedly experimental and uplifting releases. Yes mate, he’s going hard and fast all the time - so you have to get busy to keep up!

D-PASSION
D-Passion (aka Rik Gieling) got into making his own industrial-strength hardcore in 1998, releasing his first 12-inch on the TTM label. His mechanical and nasty-edged sounds have appeared on numerous hardcore compilations such as the Demolition series, while his own releases such as 2006’s ‘Twist Your Brain’ have scored him props from other respected hardcore producers worldwide including Lenny Dee and demo. Make no mistake: D-Passion is hell-bent on delivering a destructive ******* of dark hardcore at Prophecy!

CLSM
If you like your hardcore shiny and your grindcore smiley, then chances are you’ve already lost it big time to one of CLSM’s numerous monster tracks including ‘Rock Your Body’, ‘Hit the Beat’ or ‘Into the Sound’. A regular and well-loved fixture on the UK hardcore circuit, CLSM is also highly respected for his collaborations with other iconic DJ/Producers of the genre, including Billy ‘Daniel’ Bunter (‘I Need You’ and recent hardcore chart topper ‘Cry Your Tears’), Sharkey (‘Wicked MC’), Seduction (‘Causing a Heart Attack’) and Cube::Hard (‘See You on the Other Side’). Well wicked!

MARC SMITH
Originally hitting the decks as a B-Boy when hip-hop took off in Glasgow in the early ‘80s, Marc Smith used his deck skills and passion for a rocking party to help introduce acid house, techno and raving to Scotland in the late ‘80s/early ‘90s. He pioneered the bouncy techno sound of Scotland the (b)rave with awesome productions including ‘Pump Up The Noize’ and justifiably now inhabits the same stratosphere as other hardcore legends Slipmatt and Sy. Marc’s releases on his own Notiorous label such as ‘Gravity’ and ‘Wot Da ****’ (both relaunched in 2006) are essential weapons in the biggest hard dance DJs’ arsenals - though to really feel their full force, you’ve gotta hear them slammed down by the man himself!

OMAR SANTANA
Hailing from the New York borough of Queens, Omar Santana made a name for himself back in the day with the Dynamic Rockers crew, just as hip-hop blew up big. Drawing from his experience staging sound-battles and block rockin’ parties mixing hip-hop and slammin’ electro-beats, Omar was inspired to produce and remix music by his hero John ‘Jellybean’ Benitez. He has worked with legends such as Arthur Baker, Mantronix and Public Enemy, releasing well-rated productions for labels such as Tommy Boy and Sleeping Bags Records. In recent years, he’s honed in on the harder elements of his trademark cut-up sound and launched two record labels of his own: H2oh Recordings (hardcore) and Tricked Out Recordings (hard-hop & breaks). Omar Santana will put on an incredible show with a powerful New York flava.

FORCE 9
When Force 9 takes the stage you’ll hear everything from hard style to banging trance and the best of European hardcore mixed, scratched and absolutely ****ing twisted through all kinds of FX on the double by this mega Scottish rave hero. With massive hits such as ‘Los Muertos’ blowing up worldwide, Force 9’s full blown rave mentalism – or ‘meticulously organised chaos’ – as Marc Smith prefers to call it, is an essential, life-changing experience for the hard dance massive.

JON DOE
When a perp can’t be identified by the powers-that-be, he’s simply given the name ‘John Doe’ until he’s nabbed, but in the case of Jon Doe, hard dance producer extraordinaire, it’s simply one of a crate-load of aliases for the man known as Colin Meon. Whether you can scan back to ‘99 and remember his first ever 12-inch ‘999 Matrix - The Red Pill’ or you discovered him on the ‘Bonkers 16’ compilation last year, you know you’re in for a bouncing, booming maximum power live set from one of the UK hard dance scene’s finest exports.

http://www.jon-doe.com

YOSHI‘LIVE’
Who can forget NYE 2002 – 03 when Yoshi blew the roof off Utopia with his first ever live set. Well Powerhouse Productions is pleased to announce we have him back for round two, bigger and better than ever. With releases on Masif, Joyride Music, Nu Energy Collective, Peroxide, X-ite & Hardcore Vs Hard Dance Records, Yoshi is going to bring you all his latest material from remixes of ‘Flying High’ & ‘Wonderful Life’ through to originals like ‘The Sound Barrier’ and many more. With Live Dancers, A massive light show, Vocalists, guitarists and much, much more this will be something you don’t want to miss.

so what happened for dedicating prophecy to the happyhardcore parties?

The prophet wont be playing an oldskool set and neither weaver nor suae are playing at this.

with only 3 hardcore djs its not really worth the $70

nup wont be goin

maybe next time they will bring cube::hard or darwin or even k-complex and then it might be worth while, but until then...
