Once again, the biggest, best and longest running festival of its kind touches down in Ontario, Canada. We promise the ultimate music weekend featuring hundreds of performers from around the world. Continuing the tradition that began at the very start of the electronic music scene, Destiny returns with its boldest production to date and very special milestone - our 50th major event!
Over the past decade, some of the biggest names in dance music have graced the stages of WEMF. In total, over 200 artists are booked for 2005. Two main stages cater to Trance, House, Techno, Breaks, DnB & Jungle with smaller sub stages providing hardcore, psychedelic and ambient beats to complete the full spectrum of electronic dance sounds.
Traveling to WEMF each year has become the thing to do for those who want an experience of a lifetime. In the past decade, well over 100,000 people have experienced the WEMF phenomenon. License plates from 20 states and 5 provinces were observed last year and buses were chartered from across the Northeast. If electronic music is your thing then this is your event!

We are happy to welcome back the New Talent Tent to WEMF2005. If you are interested in getting an hour to showcase your talent at the largest event of its kind in North America then put together a phat demo tape, CD or DVD and send it along with WEMF2005 advance ticket proof of purchase (ie. photocopy clearly showing ticket number or Ticketmaster/Tripdecks.com confirmation code in your name) to: WEMF2005 New Talent Tent, 45 Harbour Square, Box 81035, Toronto, Ont. M5J 2V3. All those selected to perform in the New Talent Tent will have their advance ticket purchase REFUNDED at the gate upon entry.
We are looking for all types of electronic dance music, so whether you play acid jungle with a tranced out bassline, hardhouse ambient or anything in between, we wanna hear it!
Selected artists will have their names posted on the official WEMF website (www.wemf.com), and listed in the official event program handed out to everyone who comes through the gates WEMF2005 weekend.
*Please note that not everyone who submits a demo will be selected play and those that are selected will not be financially compensated in any way for their services. If you are a winner *you* will be entitled to complimentary admission to the event (Advance ticket purchases refunded at the gate upon arrival). The list of winners will posted on the website in mid June, so get your demos in quick! Demos will be accepted until June 15, 2005.

Ya know, I went to WEMF in 03, and it was pretty fun. I missed last year cuz Jesse seemed to have his head up his ass about getting back to me on some things...This year, for some INSANELY stupid reason, he decides to have WEMF the same weekend as the LAST hulla...which is at the beginning of July...traditionally, isn't WEMF towards the END of july??? Grr...sadly, i can't make this because i already have my "all good things" tix, and i don't have the means to go to both in the same weekend.
Milo, tear it up on that Friday, and I hope to see you at Hulla on Saturday if you can make it out!
