I propose a new system!!! (so listen up all yous)
maybe if we have a poll every week to give people stars (or the option to give no stars that week)??
- each person canonly vote once
- five people go up for nomination each week
- max 5 stars per person
- one star given outevery week
why?
- it would encourage people to cooperate and get involved, rather than post useless shit.
- regular users would come back more often
- would create excitement in the forum, and an even greater sense of community!
[*] a wide variety of people would get stars, including those who don't post much, those who are just plain out fun, those who are knowledgeable and helpful, etc etc.
this wouldn't work on most forums but i think seeing as we're all pretty decent sorts here (with exception but hey  ) this could be quite effective. what do you all think? am i a genious or what?

To be honest, i'm not particularly bothered what's at the side of my name - hence my low(ish) number of posts. to some people it may seem like a race to the stars(!) but for me it's all about contributing in a positive way and being respected for your views.
What's the point of having 5000 posts and lots of stars if everybody thinks you're a spamming tosser!!!! (And before you start I don't mean anybody in particular)
I'm just happy to be here and stars or not, hope to continue to be for a long time.
...Now, about that extra star Silver!!!!
