Passing 6000 users and the traffic they bring is starting to hurt my pocket. I say starting so don't go around posting that HappyHardcore.com is going to close because it has no money, because that is simply not true.
I never started HappyHardcore.com to make money, if fact I have never made any money from HappyHardcore.com, but the fact of the matter is that I love the site and what to continue to run it, but I can not be the only one to pay for it. HappyHardcore.com is a community resource and I believe the costs of running the site should be spread out a little through the community.
You may have noticed the new banners in the forums, I hope they prove popular and not too annoying. Although banners in general earn little money this is a start to attempt to cover some costs of running the site.
The idea of donations is not a new one but [url="/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6697&ARCHIVE=&whichpage=2"]this topic[/url] convinced me that there are people out there willing to support HappyHardcore.com with donations. This is the first and the last time I will post about asking for general donations unless it is directly related to purchasing a particular something for the site (like a new server or something).
You will find on the top page under the site credits (bottom left of the page) a new PayPal button, alternatively you can visit

to get all the info. I will list anyone on the donations page who donate over $30 US dollars as a sign of support for HappyHardcore.com . I encourage you to donate what you can even it is not $30. Although I can not go into costings of how much HappyHardcore.com costs to run each month I can tell you that if 1% of the members on the site donated $5 a month that would be a good start to helping the costs.

Ok im not gonna blag ya but i can't afford to donate £30 to this. But i often have odd £5 -6 in my account is it worth donating every so often wiv that little?

what is the system for donating, im only 17, is credit card the only way
by the way silver, how much gear do you have running there in your room, as far as size of server and number of hardrives to counter for such a big operration

Yes credit card is the only way at the moment and via PayPal as I am not a company and dont have a PO box or credit card machine to process payments.
If you dont own a credit card you can use your parents (with permisson of course) and give them the cash you plan to donate.
I recommend PayPal, they are safe and are now owned by Ebay so you know they are not going out of business anytime soon.

Ok first things first, you do not have to donate $30, you can donate $5 or $1 or anything you want to anything is fine, it is just I thought that if someone donated $30 that would be alot of money and worth a mention on the donations page.
Second, you do not have donate every month like I used in my first post example.... whatever... whenever is cool.
