Brian K - getting a job as soon as I'm old enough, no-one will employ me here when I'm 15. Getting lots of job applications and cv's in wil be working when I old enough.

And yes, I have heard a 320kbs mp3 - not bad.. but hmm I dunno I never used to but now I can just hear it somehow, just the way mp3 works means if you reall know the song in origonal format the mp3 is always pale in comparsion, and yes, records much better :)

thats why I'm spending almost all the money I do lay my hands on on records/dj gear.

But I still stick by what I said, that when I get a job, I will pay for stuff, but until I do, I'll continue doing as I've always done, d/l videos/games/programs that I'd otherwise never have access to - I don't do it to things I can go out and buy, I do it with things that are simply to expensive right now.

but when I get a job, wil start buying much more! :)

I thought that when the Records section of this site goes up it would have samples of loads of songs, so would this not resolve the problem of finding songs that you like? Or is it just going to be new tracks?

P.S. Silver - please make them longer but lower bitrate samples

Thanks

Sorry Moo Moo if you thought I was mocking you.....I should have said why I thought it was a bad idea, but other people have already stated the reasons why it could be bad.

If you want to hear more Hardcore, then check out the radio section above, and there are plenty of places suppliying streaming tunes (record labels/shops and even fan sites).

Yes I hold my hand up to owning a few MP3s......but its mostly rare tunes or pre-releases.....basically stuff that isn't available in the shops. Most of my other stuff I own a hard copy of. I also had to search hard for those files. If a file sharing system was set up, then it would make the process too easy, and would be abused! People worked long and hard to make their tunes available, and in a genre as underground as Hardcore is (although it may be becoming a "was"), where not many units are sold, is it right to make it so easy for pirating? Illegal copies (digital or otherwise) are never going to go away, but by making it more difficult to get hold of, it gets some of the way there.

ADmittedly there are alot of people out there who don't abuse the system, and respect to ya, but there are far more who do.

it's not so bad when it comes to anything commercial and you're downloading the mp3's, coz loads are being sold anyway, way more than hardcore. but because only a few get sold in hardcore (well,a few compared to something commercially released) all it does is wreck the scene.
so i always say download this that and the other as long as it ain't hardcore, the one scene i want to keep alive

For the record, I'm not really against mp3 sharing to any great extent, but I'd like to point out that I am against any kind of file sharing or distribution system to appear on happyhardcore.com.

Why? Well, there are so many forums and programs out there designed for the purpose that it seems kinda pointless to clutter up this site with the kind of inanely stupid traffic that mp3's would inevitably bring. Meaningful discussion would just be lost under the sheer weight of "dis trak is sooooooo c00l!!!!!!!1does ne1 have da mp3??!!!!1"

'sides, I'm all for respecting the admin's right to select his/her/its own conditions. Hell, if Silver demands that we start every post with a 2-sentence pledge of our allegiance to his almight Silverness, then I guess that's what we'll have to do. At least here his demands are reasonable.

Just my AU$0.02 (US$0.01) worth ...
