2 more things I just thought of (Stole from other sites) ^_^
1: One of the MUDS I am playing just added a live chat room to it's site and it's really cool, although on that site really slow. But still cool!!! If you put a chat room on this site it would be fun I think cause you could ask basic questions and what not to other live ppl instead of clogging boards with "simple" messages.
2: Until today no one had answered my "rack sampler" question and I didn't think anyone was going to. So I went to go delete it and realized I can't :( lol Maybe deletion of posts you have created would be a good idea? Does that make sense??? ^_^ Make it so that the person that created a thread can delete it, there that's better. Just my thoughts ^_^

Thanks a chat room is on the table, but two questions, normalyl chat rooms produce ego's and power trips. Thus if I host it on a public system like IRC with a java client I am open to people wanting to take over the system. I could make some sort of HTML based chat but then I still need operator's for the room because people will just start abusing it.... it is all coming in due time.... Let me get the record and store done first :)

I don't think that chat rooms automatically produce ppl with huge ego's and what not. I chat a lot on IRC/MIRC and a little on 2 smaller web bases chat rooms. From what I have seen the rooms produce the exact mentallity that the boards for the same pages do. IE, in one chat room for music gear the users are all "older" and are always cool and helpful and so are the boards for the site. But in another one for a MUD I play the users are all younger and the boards are stupid with Ego problems, and so is the chat room.
I persoanally don't think you would have too many problems cause the ppl that use this site seem to be fairly nice and respectful of each other. And I don't think Ive even heard one person say "Im the best at xxxxx" yet!!! ^_^
If you used either IRC or some type of web based version you can just create a list of rules and auto ban/kick options. You can set parameters for spam, set forbidden words like "Firetruck, purple, monkey. and dishwasher" (I know I hate those words!!!), and either just stop by every once in a while to check it or assign a moderator to check it and make sure it's ok.
However, generally I notice that only 1 person will be in a chat room for about every 500-1000 ppl that are signed up for a site, so maybe this site is still a bit small for a chat room. But I think it would be cool!!! ^_^ I was thinking that even if not a lot of ppl used it on a regualr basis you could set a time ummm... once a week or so for everyone to come on line and get 50 or so ppl all chatting at once, that would be fun :)
But as you said there are more pressing things to think about right now. If you are still reading is the record store gonna be for all used stuff? That would be cool! Thanks ^_^

I agree... chat would be kind of nice... but I concur- There still needs to be a slightly bigger user base before there'll be a lot of activity in chat, especially with the major time differences (ie: Silver in Tokyo, Me in Colorado, U.S.A., and loads of users in the U.K.) Feels like more of a backburner idea to me,- But one that I would definately support when the time is right :)

And Rotis, I am currently playing Circle of Darkness, Planetarion, Alien Adoption Agency, and Astro Nest. Although I am about to quit at least 2 of them cause they suck up too much time. If you want a good list of current and popular muds go to www.mpogd.com ^_^

I am 139:3:17 (Ooompa Loompa). And if you are IRC active and looking for a galaxy for next round email me your IRQ, AIM, and Coords. So far we have Ely, RB, EA, and Templar memebers and are looking strong with about 20ppls so far. If you are active alliance member that would be preffered ^_^
