Sadly, and despite all our last ditch efforts to avoid it. this is in fact the case.
So, what happened?
..... we got derailed by a leaf on the line. Despite us checking the artwork endless amounts of time ( I seriously doubt that more care has been paid to label copy and tracklist in the history of hardcore albums ) we neglected to specify a cat no. on the artwork. Even upon realising this, upon picking up a test copy last wednesday, we didn't anticipate that having any practical impact.
Ooops.
In the words of our distributor it is a "monumental **** up".
So, despite stock arriving there on time, and my verification of the same, the lack of a catalogue number unfortunately combined w/ no project specific documentation supplied with the stock, meant it didn't enter their system on time.
Our usual point of contact, additionally, was away friday until yesterday so we weren't even aware of any issue until it was too late.
Bemusingly, we had a mini crisis late last week with shrinkwrapping, which we managed to head off in time, so we were feeling pretty good about ourselves until this.
The upside? It *is* now in their system, all racking is maintained, loads of new flyers w/ correct release date have been printed, and in practical terms the minor delay shouldn't hurt the project significantly. Which would have put future albums in jeopardy.
This isn't the start of an endless series of delays, this time out we ( myself and Fracus ) are responsible for everything, so we know where we stand. We're also way out of our depth, and learning as we go.
Be gentle

Does not bother me if it has been delayed by a week.
