**SHARKEY** ( freefromation//bonkers//essential platinum//kaotic)
Sharkey is one of the most established names in the Hardcore scene. The legendary, jack of all trades has tried his hand at everything; starting in the early days of rave in 93 as an MC at the Rhythm Station for DJ Druid where he won countless awards for MC of the year, then moving on to production and DJing co-producing Toytown one of the biggest anthems of the era on Essential Platinum and now in moulding the new talent of Hardcore and Freeforms future. The likes of K Complex, AMS and Arkitech to name just a few have evolved through Sharkeys studio and tuition. His focus on guiding the talented bright lights and tirelessly harnessing the raw talent of upcoming production engineers in Hardcore came because he considers it to be one of the most important aspects of his job as without the future generation, there will be no future hardcore!
**JAY PRESCOTT** (totally lost it//masters of the oldskool//north//played everyhere)
Jay Prescott has been a DJ within the Hardcore scene for 16 years now playing at all the major Hardcore events in the UK and playing both Happy Hardcore & Hardcore Techno, giving him an invaluable insight of the scene that has turned him into a successful promoter. Never knowing what he will play next Jay has become a massive name on the UK scene today and has played just about every event. A one time Defiance regular and favourite his popularity has never shifted over the decade and he never fails to please any crowd. Whether happy or hard techno he will surely rip up the dance floors of Barnsley once again.
**PAUL-O** (uprising//recycle//rave ja vu//revolution)
'The Bossman' Paul-o founder of many of todays leading events entered the scene mid nineties and soon became a firm favourite with his much loved dutch party gabber. Always a lover of the harder sounds and more alternative beats his banging sets are legendary. Whether it be gabber, bouncy techno or his new approach with a more trance orientation he has had the dancefloor rocking for the last 15 years.
**NOYA** (dizstruxshon//uprising//pleasuredome)
This Scarbrough based DJ burst onto the scene way back in the day playing a mass variation or hard and oldskool trance anthems. He became a firm Howden favourite and later went on to headline some huge events across the whole of the UK. More recent times have seen him concentrating more on the local scene allowing him to put as much time and faith back into the ravers as he possibly could. Always a well asked for DJ in Barnsley his set on the night will almost cover many oldskool trance classic from yesteryear.
**SKEGSTER** (jade//uprising)
Hailing from Kiveton Park, Skegster has been rockin crowds at his legendary JADE events for time now!His success has seen him become a regular name at the mighty Uprising, Sheffield, as well as appearances at big events like Dizstruxshon and TFI Friday and many other events throughout the North.
He is known for his innovative and unique Hardstyle sets and sounds like nobody else! Recently, Skegster has appeared alongside some of the UK and Europes biggest Hard Dance names. He played on the same line up as Germany's Scot Project in early 2007, and played the warm up set for the crazy Mark EG at the huge Hardcore Heaven v's Uprising event.
**BEN BALLISTIC**
Bouncy techno and gabber specialist Ben started playing in early 2004,
co-promoted Hardcore Tactics and played the local circuit before joining
Defiance in 2007, his recent sets have made him one of the most requested DJ's on the local scene today,recently made his first tracks Bounty Picker & 'Move That Ass'
**JAMMY G**
One of the good guys, Jammys DJing has grown from strength to strength over recent years. Started playing about 2004 and joined Defiance in 2007 always a lover of hardcore in the past it is his ability to mix, swap and change the hardstyle and hard trance that has made him popular figure at all Defiance events
**FREEFORM**
Started as part of the original Resonance team back in 2004, his
unique style and ability to mix just about anything made him a
firm favourite. Welcomed with open arms by the Defiance team,
his vast knowldge of music and the scene at such a young age will
serve him well, covers all genres Defiances Mr Versatile.
**ROZE**
Defiance's very own new-breed DJ, it is his tireless efforts and hard work that has made him a firm favourite at many Defiance events, favours the sounds of hardstyle / trance and hardcore.
