UGS 3 The Freaks Come Out

UBERZONE
The brainchild of southern California native Q (named after the "gizmo" -loving James Bond character). Like his namesake, Q is a die-hard collector of all things electronic, and has been collecting electronic-music gear since his early teens.
His early singles, "Botz" and "The Freaks", released on taste-maker indie dance label City of Angels, were critically acclaimed club tracks that established Q as one of the leading American producers of breakbeat music. These singles were charted consistently by DJs like Florida's DJ Icey and the UK's Adam Freeland, among others. His remixes of Sarah McLachlan, The Crystal Method and BT also established him as one of the biggest names in the American dance scene. Spin Magazine named Uberzone as one of the six producers to create "the biggest beats ever."
Q does have Faith in the Future. "Sometime during my life I turned from a pessimist into an optimist. Faith in the Future ties into technology, electronic music and my lasting desire to live in the Jetson Age." Perhaps that's why Uberzone's debut album, "Faith in the Future" has a feeling to it unlike any other electronic album. It recalls influences from quirky sci-fantasy film soundtracks to "Planet Rock" to dream-pop to the energetic, future breaks that Uberzone has created in ways no one else can approach.

DJ APHRODITE
aka Gavin King, is the man behind Aphrodite Recordings. It all started way back in the summer of love '88' running an Acid House club called Aphrodite, the namesake has been with him since.
Through various chance meetings with DJs Micky Finn and Claudio Giussani, Urban Shakedown was born. Over the years Aphro's own Aphrodite Recordings and Urban Takeover, a joint label with Micky Finn followed. The musical progression to Drum n Bass was a natural step over the years through hardcore and jungle.
Aphrodite Recordings is the base outlet for all music with the Aphro signature.
DJ Aphrodite is known for playing out a good vibe that ranges from classics to upfront and exclusive dubplates. Aphro is invited to DJ in countries all over the world

Jackal & Hyde
have been called "the purveyors of the hardcore-electro sound" (Electro-core) , a combination of industrial laden electro beats and psychotic keys. Jackal & Hyde was formed in 1998 by partners Scott Weiser, and Todd Walker in an effort to combine a harder edge sound with the dance floor sensibility of Electro/Industrial and Techno. Besides their original work, Jackal & Hyde's sound has been requested for multiple remix productions including No Doubt, Love & Rockets, Kid Rock and Genitorturers among others.
Together, Jackal & Hyde have had a string of successful records out on Hallucination Recordings owned by techno gurus, Rabbit in The Moon. Their songs have been licensed by many of the top DJ's in the World for a wide array of compilations by the likes of West Bam, Andrew Weatherall, Taylor, and 'Hero of Hard-core' Omar Santana to name a few. Their new album (due out spring 2007) has been 3 years in the making and includes some of the hardest electronic music ever made. Four years ago, Morbid Angel front man and guitarist David Vincent befriended Jackal & Hyde after hearing their work and has played on a few tracks on the new album. Moreover, Gen, lead vocalist of the legendary Genitorturers also appears on 4 songs on the album. Jackal & Hydes shows are known for cutting edge, in your face music and unbelievable visuals by Hallucination on film. They have had just about every World Renown Electro/Techno/ Industrial/ Break Beat/Hard House DJ open for them, and have Co-headlined with a wide variety of bands from BT, Genitorturers and Kottonmouth Kings to Prodigy, Tech N9NE and Rabbit in the Moon at venues all throughout the U.S. and abroad.

SKYLAB2000
Time Out says "skylab2000 is a rave legend."
Urb has called skylab2000 live performances "incredible" and "fantastic."
Djs such as Dave Dresden [Gabriel & Dresden] call the Rollergirl single "the bomb of all bombs."
In the UK, the BBC's Pete Tong chose Auburn as an "Essential Selection."
These are just a tiny sample of the compliments collected on the road skylab2000 has traveled.
The twist - skylab2000 is not a DJ or a 'laptop' band. This is a fully LIVE electronic music performance. Since 1994, Dennis Barton has been making hard hitting dance music and traveling city to city to play it for the best audiences in the world.
With a full set of synths, samplers, mixer, and effects units, a skylab2000 show is a unique experience. This music is played live on stage, with real vocals, changing to the crowds needs and creating a ride to remember. The sound is an eclectic blend of hard house, breaks, techno, acid, and trance.
After a few years in London and New York, skylab2000 is now planted in the Los Angeles area, but playing live shows has taken him around the world: Russia, Japan, Istanbul, Hong Kong, Montreal, Puerto Rico, Vancouver, Molvania, Mexico and more!
In America, skylab2000 has played in almost every state, including shows in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Miami, Las Vegas, Memphis, Anchorage and so many more.
DJs such as Sasha, Digweed, Carl Cox, and Keoki play skylab20000 tracks. The public also gets in on the act: On the seminal mp3.com music site, the Rollergirl track became the number one most downloaded song overall, with around ONE MILLION downloads.
skylab2000 tracks appear on many compilation CDs, on iTunes, and on mix CDs by Thomas Michael, Superstar DJ Keoki, Grover, DJ Psycho-b, John Kelly, Sol Brothers and Taylor; on labels such as Moonshine, Koch, JDJ, Phatt Phunk, 3am Records, Brainiak (UK), City of Angels, Genesis Project, and many more.
Now even video games soundtracks from major companies get the skylab2000 touch. Microsoft's "Amped" and Konami's new "Dance Dance Revolution Supernova" have skylab2000 tracks in them.
What's next? Stay tuned. Mission control out.

DJ FUNK
While Detroit artists like DJ Assault and DJ Godfather specialized in what is often referred to as ghetto tech, Chicago-based icon DJ Funk specialized in ghetto house. He first rose to prominence in the late '90s with a series of EP releases for the prolific Dancemania label. At the same time, he circled the Midwest as a DJ, spinning primarily pitched-up, pornographic- themed dance music. He became known for his mixing as much as for his track selection -- he would rarely let his tracks play out for longer than two or three minutes. A multitude of DJ Funk mix tapes spread across the Midwest, as well as a few independently released mix CDs. However, DJ Funk's reputation was primarily confined to the Detroit/Chicago axis and the Midwest rave scene. Unlike the Detroit booty artists, DJ Funk didn't really have a scene to call home and was somewhat of an anomaly. As a result, many saw him as a novelty artist. Nonetheless, he continued DJing and producing, starting the DJ Funk Records label and moving on to higher profile, nationally distributed mix albums like Booty House Anthems (1999).

DJ LIQUID
Over the past 15 years DJ Liquid has developed an extraordinarily successful career behind the decks, in the studio and in the office. This Silicon Valley native has consistently risen to one of the Left Coast's most in-demand and respected talents. Eric rocks his signature mash up pumpy house with techno and funk, consistently elevating a party's energy to new heights. The outcome translates into energy exploding through the stacks and saturating the dancefloor. His diversity of mixing multiple genres has helped propel him to continuously unleash profound musical sensations, driving rhythms and fierce melodies which keeps his fans pumpin' their fists for more.
Dancefloor devastation would be enough to satisfy if not overwhelm most but for this road warrior this was simply warming up. Dj Liquid founded the infamous Journees Music record label and its sublabels; Fierce Records, White Label Group and Shotcallers. Currently Eric is stepping up the hustle unleashing the popular online community RemixCulture. com and the new online store, RemixStore.com. But of course, one has to keep it proper so Eric stays busy racking up frequent flyer miles around the globe. If the past successes are an indicator of what's ahead the future is certainly bright for this star and the world around him.

KEITH MACKENZIE
Hailing from the windy city, Keith MacKenzie has emerged as one of the leaders of the US Breaks scene. Originally from Florida, Keith got an early start and was influenced by friends like Icey and Fixx and he dropped several releases on labels like Zone and After Dark, which eventually led to him starting his own label Illeven:Eleven. Keith MacKenzie continues to push the breaks sound and now utilizes his label as an avenue to tear down some of the breakbeat sub-genre walls.

FACTORe
FACTORe is a dedicated veteran of the dance music scene. Being one of the first US artists to gain recognition in the UK Nu Skool scene, FACTORe can be credited with opening the doors for the Nu Skool movement in the US. He is known for producing massive floor destroyers and having a mix mastery that can only be achieved his many years of experience behind the decks. You may also see him mentioned when researching Nu Skool breaks on sites like Wikepedia. Don't miss this chance to see one of our favorite Cave performers.

DAN THE DOORMOUSE
Need we say more???

SPREE & ADB
Geared up and ready for another round of Cave madness. Hands to the sky!!

AVEX AXIOM
Adam Haydock (aka Avex Axiom) is a DJ/producer from Chicago. It was only a manner of time until he became a DJ/producer through his creative idea’s, his love for electronic music, and his driving passion for achievement whenever it comes to what he wants to make happen. His sound can range from a dark and defiant sound to a fun funky energetic sound, building intensity and gaining momentum into a storm of tribal percussion’s, crisp strings, and mysterious industrial sounding synth’s. whether he starts dark and mysterious or fun and funky, he always builds a positive ascending rhythm, giving drama, mood, and suspense to the audience, Building up to a climatic epic like finish with tracks the crowd can’t get enough of.
