レイブカルチャー創世記の1980年代後半にDJとしての活動をスタートさせ、CARL COXやGROOVERIDERらと共にUKレイブ・シーンの礎を築いた『ゴッドファーザー・オブ・レイブ』。1992年にXL RECORDINGSから"DJ's TAKE CONTROL/WAY IN MY BRAIN"、"ON A RAGGA TIP"をSL2としてリリースし、UKナショナルチャー トにてダンストラックとしては異例の大ヒットを記録する。
その後、1993年に新プロジェクトSMDをスタートさせハッピー・ハードコアを生み出し、ジャンルのオリジネイターとしてハードコア／レイブ界に君臨する。
また、2000年頃からトランスやニュースクールブレイクスなどのジャンルにも進出し、さらに近年はブレイクスサウンド、UKガラージにハードコア／レイブの要素をミックスしたレイブブレイクス(RAVE BREAKS)、ニューレイブ(NU RAVE）という新ジャンルを提案。レイブシーンの最先端を常に走り続けている。
DJとしては本国イギリスのみならずヨーロッパ全土、アメリカやオーストラリア、タイ、ギリシャ、そしてイビザなど世界中のビックパーティーに出演。数々のイベントで熱狂的な支持を受けた伝説的なプレイが、10月14日渋谷のROCK WESTで炸裂 ！！

92年、渡英時に出会ったUK RAVEシーンに触発されDJをスタート。HARDCOREテクノを中心にプレイし、テクノシーンに新たなサウンドを投じる。96年には日本初のレギュラーハッピーハードコアパーティー"EFFECTIVE"のレジデントDJを努めた後、98年からは"LUBNOLOGY"をDJ
KENGKENGと共に主宰しシーンの活性化に力を注ぐ。現在はHAPPY NUTTY（CLUB TRIANGLE)、RAVERS UNITED(LAB TRIBE)のレジデントDJ。
97年には自身が経営するレコード専門店"L.P.U.RECORDS/L.P.U.STORE"を設立するなど勢力的に活動！
またDJではハードコアからハードハウス、JUNGLE、初期RAVE TECHNOまでセレクトした幅広い選曲にスクラッチを混ぜたトリッキーでハッピーなプレイが人気で日本全国で活躍中！
