We at Helter Skelter don’t believe in compromise. The Party:
After the phenomenal success of Energy 2K4, we invite you to Life, the New Years party we’re hosting in association with nine of the UK’s most conscientious and exciting dance party organisers.Together, we will take on the challenge of transforming the entire Leisure Plaza Complex and its perimeter venues into an extraordinary site of world-class dance music entertainment.
You thought you’d seen it all at Energy, but this party will prove you haven’t. We’re committed to setting new standards and continually making improvements to our events, and Life is no exception. First and foremost Life will be an extravagant party boasting the largest NYE event capacity in the UK, which is promised to be even bigger and better than our sell-out event Energy 2K4. Life will feature (for the first time at the Leisure Plaza Complex) 6 massive
self-contained units incorporating 15 music and entertainment zones, 11 of which will be hosted by us in collaboration with the collective of top-class co-promoters we’ve invited to join us. Linking up the various venues will be a labyrinth of tunnels as well as the Nocturnal Village, which will act as the centrepiece of the site from which ravers, clubbers and bass-heads can access any of the buildings within the festival.
Life will provide everyone who attends with the opportunity to explore a myriad of dance music worlds within one immense location. Life is about fun, about choice, about the freedom to experience and about the authentic celebration of diversity that can be found within our dynamic youth culture.

Music Policy:
Each of Life’s co-hosts is a specialist in a particular sound, and so has something very special and radically different to offer. But although their specialisms are different, all have one major thing in common: they all represent a genre that has evolved from the original House music sound. We at Helter Skelter are re-uniting the icons and rising stars of the dance music family this NYE, and by doing so we (together with our co-hosts) are creating an experience that simply cannot be copied elsewhere.
World-class entertainment:
No expense spared. Size is important, but it isn’t everything. Life is guaranteed to be a big party – but there’s more to Life than that. Months of careful planning have been invested into Life to ensure that it will be the premier choice for any discerning party person who wants to spend NYE in a first-class location being treated like a valued guest.
The Leisure Plaza Complex:
A 21st century venue exclusive to Helter Skelter which incorporates six massive self-contained units catering for thousands. The Complex is located in central Milton Keynes, close to major train, bus* and motorway networks.
It’s certain to be the national dance party hub for NYE 2K4/5! *Trains and buses will be running NYE and New Years Day
The Nocturnal Village:
A magical semi-open air village complete with intriguing stalls, free state-of-the-art fun fair attractions, high-speed adrenalin thrills, recreational technologies and chill-out environments. This bustling meeting place will connect all the Plaza Complex buildings together on the night, and will play an instrumental role in ensuring that everyone has access to the 15 music and entertainment environments available

Your ticket will entitle you to enter the party complex and from there you’ll be free to explore the site. Attractions will include
Free state-of-the-art fun fair attractions, a Megabowl (open all-night) complete with 30 lanes of ten-pin bowling action and a Laser Quest, for those of you who want to spend your night running round darkened mazes shooting laser beams at one another. A Sony Dome complete with the latest computer entertainment. You’ll also find a cinema showing a selection of movies through the night.

Smart Drinks Prices at Life this NYE:
Our drinks prices this NYE will be ‘smart’ because we won’t be charging any more for them than we would normally charge at a party like this. We don’t believe in putting up drinks prices just because it’s NYE!
The first round of drinks to celebrate
the New Year is on us:
Everyone who attends Life this NYE will be entitled to one free drink on the house to celebrate the incoming of 2005. Your free drink will be available to collect from any one of the designated bars around the site 30 minutes before midnight. All you’ll have to do is hand in the official voucher (that comes with your event ticket) to a member of bar staff, who will then provide you with your complimentary beverage to celebrate the New Year.

Life: The number one NYE destination for a generation in search of new kicks
Event Specification:
Energy 2K4 was a phenomenal festival with a phenomenal production, but now we’re going all out to set an even higher standard and improve on what has gone before…
In the Accelerated Culture arena will be the Funktion 1 Resolution 9, the world’s number one sound system for Drum ‘n Bass, specifically designed to direct the sound and enhance the bass frequencies. A new acoustic drape will also adorn the arena ceiling to increase the
sound levels further.
The Hardcore Til I Die arena will have a mind-blowing Turbo Sound Floodlit system installed, with more bass on the main dance floor, extra sound on the balconies and the added
essential of cooling systems throughout.
An impressive Martin Audio Wayfront 8 system will provide for a Hard House & Nu N.R.G sound of perfect clarity and more volume in the Polysexual with Cyberkitten arena. The Good Greef arena will be equipped with a Funkion 1 Resolution 9 sound system, featuring an additional 2 stacks of sound for even higher volumes than at Energy.
We’ll be installing the wicked and wild Martin F2 system in the Technodrome, but this time with double the power. We felt that the amount of power we’d put in this arena at Energy hadn’t fulfilled our expectations, so we’re onto it and making the necessary improvements. Techno mad-caps will also find new cooling systems within.
The Raindance arena will feature an RCF Event 6000 again, proving how faithful an old system this truly is. Expect sound with lots of depth to capture the clarity of the
authentic Old Skool arena sound.
The all-new HTID 2 Freeform, Ultra Vegas, Gurn.net and Funkin You arenas, alongside the classic Helter Skelter Déjà vu VIP environment, will each be equipped with a state-of-the-art sound system and world-class production customised to the individual requirements of these highly specialised environments.

Prepare yourselves sinners… Two rave families are teaming up for a NYE party to remember. G.O.D and Smile Police are joining forces to bring the Melbourne dance scene together, to party into the Year 2005 This new years eve were taking you back to the good old days, when it was all about the party! Over time, we tend to loose our way in life and forget why we are here & why we started in this culture. We begin to lose sight of the good things & focus on the bad. This New Year’s is a time to come together, to restore some faith & balance in the dance scene we once had.
The Yin and Yang symbol is a perfect way to start our mission. Yin and yang are the two polar energies that, by their fluctuation and interaction, are the cause of the universe. The notion means that the reality consists of relationships between opposite and opposite principles. Yin and yang are polar manifestations of the Tao of the supreme ultimate, their concrete manifestations being Earth and Heaven. Yin and Yang represents the balance that must occur within the world. The outer circle represents “everything”, while the black and white shapes within the circle represent the interaction of two energies, the “yin” is the black and the “yang” is the white. They signify heaven and earth, the sun and moon, day and night, fire and water as being forces that that possess completely opposing attributes. However each one gives existence to the other, for without yin there is no yang. The notion yin and yang also means different ways of looking at a world that may be experienced in a variety of different ways. Yin, or 'the shady side' is contrasted with 'the sunny side' yang, and the idea is that everything has at least two aspects to it.
The yin and yang philosophy was further refined into the system of the five elements, Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water, to gain a deeper understanding of how the body, mind and spirit work. Wood represents development and growth; Fire represents change and activity; Earth represents reproduction and nourishment; metal represents restriction and strike; water represents hidden and ending. As with this philosophy, G.O.D and Smile Police hope to restore the balance within them selves and in turn the Melbourne rave scene, thus bringing you this apt New Years Eve Party. Five rooms to represent the need for balance between the elements, and an attitude of embracing change not only within ourselves but within everything in our lives.
In order to have peace in our lives we must have balance.

Wharf3 is surrounded by Sydney Harbour on the Northern and Western perimeters, boasting uninterrupted views from the Harbour Bridge to Balmain, making this one of the most exciting and innovative entertainment complexes we have had to work with. Located between the two premium entertainment precincts of Cockle Bay/King Street Wharf and Circular Quay/The Rocks, Wharf3 is a working wharf with breathtaking harbour views, dual water frontage, 5,500 square metres undercover and 10,000 square metres of outside absolute harbour frontage.
Utopia Harbourside is one of the few parties in Sydney with access to such superb views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Large scale Dance Party production is about utilising the best technology available, and putting it in the hands of the best technicians in the business. This is our first event at Wharf 3, and quite possibly will be our best event to date. The venue for our events is such an important aspect, and we really believe that this awesome venue will offer us a "blank canvas of possibility, limited only by our imagination".

Y.O.M.C, aka Martin Roth is known around the world as one of Germany's best trance producers. Martin Y.O.M.C Roth is the man behind projects including Y.O.M.C, DJ Wag, and was one of the original producers of Yakooza which led to the creation of tunes such as Cocaine, Stronger, Fight for Survival... Impressed yet? You should be!
While studying to be an electrical engineer, Martin soon became fascinated with electronic music, an addiction still held today. When he started composing electronic music he managed to secure a record deal just six months later, and between that time and now, Martin has released over 100 production works, traversing the whole spectrum of trance sub-genre's, and in the process defining his own sound, a wildly organic and unique blend of harder edged melodic trance.
Martin began Most Wanted Records this year, and has received rave reviews for its debut since. The genius behind Y.O.M.C... this guy is only getting warmed up.

One of the biggest & most popular acts to ever grace the scene, we're proud to present German rave legend Dune at Utopia Harbourside NYE!
Over the years there have been many acts to pass through the rave scene, however very few of them stand up as one of the all time greats - true legends whose music not only set new standards but also defined several generations of the rave scene. Dune is one of those acts, who created of some of the biggest tracks to ever hit the rave scene: "Million Miles >From Home", "Hardcore Vibes", "Are You Ready To Fly" and of course what is undoubtedly the biggest and most popular tune to ever hit the rave scene, the massive anthem "Can't Stop Raving".
Despite their success in the rave scene, Dune are not just known as a rave act and have had successful releases in many styles with releases like "Keep The Secret" - a crowd favourite at Sydney's original trance nights. His collaborations include the tracks written with the who's who of the hardcore scene, names such as Panic, Scott Brown, Joey Beltram, Neophyte and more. Paul has performed at all the biggest events throughout his home Country Gemrnay, plus around the World in Countries like Australia, United States, England and Europe. This New Years eve we welcome the hardcore legend Paul Elstak to Sydney, where he will rip the Utopia decks apart with his own orginal sound, his super tight mixing and his massive stage presence. For more than 10 years, DJ UFO has been one of the leading lights in the UK hardcore movement, both as a gifted producer and a s highly talented performer. Most recently he has been made resident at the UK's premier hardcore event H.T.I.D (Hardocre till I Die) as well as writing new material and co-mixing along with Hixxy, Recon and Dougal. As a DJ, UFO has played regularly at some of the biggest and most respected UK events such as Slammin Vinyl, H.T.I.D. Sundissential, Hardcore Heaven, United Dance and Helter Skelter and also in countries including Australia, Canada, Spain, Japan and the United States.

Exclusive to Utopia Harbourside this New Years Eve...... we are privileged to be able to offer Sydney a showcase of the very first live performance by Sydney's DJ Yoshi. info: Take Me Away on New Years Day provides a variety of music that everyone can listen to and enjoy. From old skool happy hardcore and gabber to funky beats and progressive tribal house. We have the main arena decked out with lasers and a light show whilst the lounge room will continually pump out the melodies fit for NYD. The atmosphere will be what you make it.
Everyone who purchases tickets online or who enters before midday receives a free promo cd from DJ Rob. There will be a massage tent for those who are tired and need to sooth their muscles. Free massages will be given away along with tickets to Upper Level Productions next event, Take Me Away on Australia Day.
