Hyperspeed - Maximum velocity Added by darrenj (1 Attending)

name: HYPERSPEED - MAXIMUM VELOCITY
date: Saturday 15th May, 2004 (10pm-7am)
venue: BRAND NEW WAREHOUSE VENUES
Sydney Showground - Sydney Olympic Park
age group: all ages (15+)

Hyperspeed Brand New Venue The Sydney Showground
The hardest part of making a successful event even better is to take it to the next level. To take a forward step into brave new territory, and to set a new standard of excellence whilst making sure that the most important aspect of each event, the atmosphere, grows with the event. We've done this before, each time taking Hyperspeed to another level, and each time totally eclipsing the previous event. Our first big move was taking Hyperspeed from an underground event to the EG Whitlam Centre for Gold Series, which proved to be a massive success. The next step was to the Atrium, and after taking this step the crowd doubled to 4,000 strong - making it the most successful and popular Hyperspeed to date. After months of planning, thinking and meetings, we've decided to take Hyperspeed to the what we call the theatre of dreams - the Sydney Showground. A theatre of dreams in the sense that Hyperspeed is your show, a performance of the most talented acts, the most brilliant lights, the most astounding lasers and the most diverse people all held in a venue where there are no limitations, a place where the size and sheer scale of the venues allow dreams to come true, nights to be enjoyed and memories to be made forever. This is why Hyperspeed is here. This is truly where we can reach maximum velocity.

Pulsedriver Aqualoop Recordings > Germany
I dominate you. Neither his Dj or tune names are for show, quite simply they are warnings. When he steps up to the turntables, you know that you are in for a dominating hard trance session that will keep your pulse driving on the dance floor non stop for the duration of his performance. Hyperspeed is proud to present one of the biggest institutions in the German trance circuit, Pulsedriver, in his long awaited Australian debut. One of the acts largely responsible for the new wave of trance making its way out of small clubs to the masses, in 1997 his anthem "I'm Rushing" was one of the first anthems that shook the foundations world-wide of clubs struggling for musical direction by storm. Next was the dark and dirty trance anthem "I Dominate U", A massive favourite at the original Voodoo & Plastic nights. The biggest and best was yet to come, with Kiss The Sound & Something For Your Mind becoming huge chart hits, and also the very first release on an unknown label called Tracid Traxx, which has gone on to lead the hard trance movement. Owner of the famous Aqualooop Recordings, Pulsedrivers hard and bangin' style of trance keeps him one of the most popular and in demand Dj/Producers in Europe. Finally he will be here at Hyperspeed to do what he's been long overdue to do: dominate the dancefloor.

Warp Brothers Groove Trax Germany
One of the most toured trance acts in the world, The legendary Warp Brothers are back in town to rip it up at Hyperspeed. What more can be said about the act that produced the massive tunes "Blast the Speakers" and "We Will Survive"? Plenty. As record label owners of Groove Trax, the Warp Brothers have brought club land some of it's favourite tunes over the past few years like Norman Bass' "How you Like The Bass" and Perfect Phase's "Slammer Jammer". As remixers, they've worked on the who's who of tunes, from the massive tunes by Balloon "Technorocker" and "Monstersound", Fragma's "You are Alive", Ultra-Sonic's rave anthem "Annihilating Rhythm" and many more. As Dj's, they've headlined some of the biggest events in the world. From 20,000 people festivals in the UK to Ministry of Sounds African world tour, from the holding down residencies in New York and Las Vegas' biggest clubs to headlining an infamous full-moon party in Penang, Malaysia the Warp Brothers have not only done it all, but they keep doing it as one of the best in their game. You can reach the top by chance of luck, but to stay at the top you need to be the best of the best. Enter the Warp Brothers. What better act could there be to take Hyperspeed into Maximum Velocity? Enjoy your trip.

Kevin Energy > Nu Energy > United Kingdom
Every scene has it's godfather, and to Freeform Kevin Energy is the not only the godfather but is still the leader of the Freeform movement. Since it's original inception as an alternative to Hardcore, Freeform's fast and relentless trancey beats have gone on to become a phenomenon in itself. No longer the little brother of hardcore, Freeform has built itself into one of the most popular hard-edged sounds in the UK, and Kevin is the man behind it all. Dj'ing since the age of 15, it didn't take Kevin long to have his first release in 1996. Since then, he's gone on to found and manage the Nu Energy Collective, home of the biggest and best freeform acts in the world (such as Sharkey, Marc Smith, Fury, Eclipse, Druid and of course Kevin himself). Not content with just the one genre, Kevin's diversity as a producer see's him also highly popular in many other scenes, most notably in the hard dance scene. Through his labels Dynamix and Synthetix, Kevin has been proving that he's master of more than one domain with his hard, upfront "in your face" style of hard dance. One of the most popular international performers in Sydney, we're proud to welcome the little master back for his second Hyperspeed onslaught.

Mark Ashley > Nu Energy > United Kingdom
The leading new talent in the Freeform scene, Mark Ashley is not just a name to look out for in future but a name to recognise now as one of the Best new freeform acts there is. Starting off at the age of 15 in a Goa-Trance band named the Sunkings in 1998, Mark and Kevin Energy had their first collaboration together, the trance hit "Levitation". Between 1999 & 2001 Mark Ashley was constantly spinning for small underground nights and the pirate radio station "Outcast FM" playing hard trance, old skool and freeform. This was where Mark had his first experimentation with producing Freeform. The track, "Rebel Rhythms" was snapped by Nu Energy records and became a massive success in the world-wide Freeform scene, hammered out by all the top Dj's. The success was followed up by "Speed of Light" and a collaboration with K Complex called "Frenetic and Desire". Mark Ashley's DJ career mirrored the success of his productions, being booked for the biggest rave in the UK, Slammin Vinyl, as well as Nu Energy Collective parties and also collaborating on the incredibly successful Nu Energy Live PA. If his productions are anything to go by, Mark is well on his way to becoming one of the biggest names in the genre.
