quote: Haha you'd think that but I've been to loads where the vast majority where fine. We used to break into a few barns out here and we even replaced the padlocks we broke and everything, leaving the new keys in for the farmer. People used to help clean up at the end and that too, just random strangers. This sort of thing seems to have changed in recent years though and people just don't care. :( Perhaps it's because people are shovelling ket up their nose now instead of getting pilled up. :P
I can understand that if the event is only advertised to certain people. However the problem here is clearly that they are full of random pikeys and chavs who actually couldn't give a shit about raves.

Alcohol is the best rave drug! Makes you energetic and makes you rave hard! I don't ever love Hardcore as much as I as when I'm drunk. Brings me almost to tears lol - like there's nothing else in the world worth caring about. With pills I just want to sit down and cuddle rave hotties. No energy. And I am more interested in the physiological buzz than the music.

I agree to Jay, if you don't crash! I've finally learned to know my limit since I started to go clubbing/raving, because before this time it was all about getting drunken asap.
I've barely tried illegal drugs to push myself into a great mood (smoked some weed to calm down and sniffed some poppers just for the fun), simply because I've never really developed the need to use it. I'm very liberal when it comes to drugs, but I simply don't have the urge to use them myself. I have gotten disgusted by the way how people use them over here ("Oh, I'm into the Techno scene: I must munch/sniff sth!").
I've allways hated cocaine, because I noticed the nicest persons in the world develope to *******s being on cocaine. I hate this stuff!
Even worse are the roumors I've noticed about Ketamine. Loosing control of all your body functions isn't a gamble I'd take a risk for.
It's all about the music! Let the beat control your body!

Yeah lol. You need to keep drinking. If you stop drinking you just get epically tired.

I'll get tired, everytime I drink too much! ;-)
You just need to know what drink to order in the right situation. I don't have a problem to ask for a bottle of water, if I feel the need to drink it.

yea there's a fine line between drinking the right amount to going overboard lol. Usually alcohol works a bit like energy drinks for me if I pace myself, but when I was in Toronto I did not fare so well lol. I gradually got drunker and drunker, a couple of hours after last call has already ended lol. Damn those flatliners!
But usually I don't drink that much at raves. I rarely ever get drunk at them. I do get thirsty though so I'm always in need of water.

I doubt there are many warehouses that cost less than 50k to build. That's peanuts in construction terms.

I'm guessing you've never bothered even looking at one?

In the right doses it can actually be a pretty strong hallucinogenic and it often ends up being out of body experiences. I've had some very weird feelings on it! Looking down at myself in a box of light, every time the lighting switches feeling like I've just stopped tripping and then realising I'm seeing/feeling absolutely mental stuff a minute later, feeling proper soft and squidgy. Can be quite mad. A lot of people go overboard and just K-Hole though which is essentially just knocking yourself out as that's primarily what the drug was developed for. I find small little bits topped up often works better but then I don't like passing out and dribbling in the corner.
It can actually be pretty dangerous in the wrong hands though and is a lot more addictive than most realise. I know a lot of people who are doing it every day (talking over a gram and more on the weekend) and are just complete wrecks now. In these sort of quantities it can cause irreversible damage to the bladder and I know a few people who pretty much can't help pissing themselves now and some who have had complete bladder rebuilds and nearly died. It basically crystallises itself again in your bladder which tears the wall of it. When this heals the bladder becomes less stretchy, massively reducing how much it can hold. All this can cause serious cramps and pissing it out is like pissing razer blades (apparently). You're essentially passing super sharp crystal equivalents to kidney stones though so that makes sense!
Basically moderation is the key like most things and can be pretty fun and harmless in small, infrequent quantities. Whilst I've never felt tempted to go mad on it seems a lot of people do so watch out for anyone you know who seems to be forming a regular habit.

50k would be a cheap warehouse! Lets not forget all the stock or equipment that's inside as well.

As with all drugs, it's not the drug, it's the person. People who feel the need will always get addicted to these things.

Yea I wouldn't want to pass out in a corner like that either, especially with Jay in the same room. That's an open invitation for him to do, well, anything...
