Sounds good, and I'm glad to see you back to writing your own melodies instead of remixing pop tunes :)
I really like the melody, but I feel like the track needs a bit more of this infamous, nondescript "energy". Making the offbeat hihat a little louder (kind of falls out) or adding a drum loop might help. I think a drum loop with bongos would sound good ;O

the little background vocal noise thing has really nice uplifting progression, but I think it could be a bit louder and more upfront
what DAW did you use? you should send me the file so I can try and master it :)

shite olly sorry i forgot to comment in here.
As i said when you sent me the pretty early draft of this(judging by alot of stuff changing). i do like it man its really full lots of cool sounds in there and i like nice full tracks. Few mix issues with eqs and stuff but since your done it doesnt really matter.
and olly ...DO more ****in freeform type stuff ya lunatic. Any remixes ya want ya know who to hit up saaaaan

cheers mate! will be doing more of the old freeform now. turns out my mum has a quality english voice for any breakdown speeches! i'll post an example later on. im crap at eq'ing. i dont have the ear, eye, or experience for whats right. and i cant afford monitors, so im stuck with my sony 500w system.

The melody @ 2:15 is nice. Gotta love the old skool bell sounds. One thing that stands out is it does seem like the ride is too loud on the kicks.

Thanks Mortis. I do like having a nice ride on the kicks, but as I've heard in mixes, it sounds too different from other tracks.
