Have listened this quite a few times in the past weeks, and have to say, its not as good as the original. And i LOVE the original.

The biggest problems i have with the remake: Its too slow. I missed the old bassline. But the biggest thing is, you completely missed the part that made the original so good. If you listen the original, it keeps going higher and higher towards the end, and on ~4:30 BAM it goes fast, forward and hard. On the remake i didnt get the same build up. Its a very subtle thing, and you have to listen the song from start to finish to "get it". Without Loop has a similar part, on ~2:50 onwards you take it a notch higher and higher, and its awesome. I cant really explane it any better. But all in all, on the remake, really liked the new sounds. And the beginning is ace.

yes, I totally know what you mean :)
my main goal with this remake was to achive a more "listeable" mix, beacuse I know not everyone is willing to listen such a long and complex track, and apreciate it just like you do ;)

i also wanted to update some of the synths and mixdown, which in the original I always felt it was a little messy.
think of this one as a "radio edition" :)
