This is mobile phone based service available in the UK.
You type in 2580 & point your phone at a music source (eg: speaker) for 15 secs & it the ends the call, a few minutes later you get a text message telling you what song it was & you can go online & find out where to buy it, it doesnt recognise vinyl only tracks or classical though.
It costs 50p per song.
Has anyone tried this on hardcore tunes?
(I imagine it would have to be a fairly well known one!)
If they have let me know!

Sy-its working now, its got a website too (dunno addy so try in Google).
Brian-The fella who invented it claimed that almost that exact situation inspired it!
I read some facts about it in the paper yesterday, apparently it took 3 years to write the software & can tell the difference between cover versions, teh inventors also runs a site where you can sing a tune into your PC mic & it'll tell you what it was (obviously hasnt heard my voice it'd still be crashed now!)
Anyway-back to the hardcore!!!!
