Is HHC townie music? do you hate goths? Are you all TOWNIES?
I wanna know this because im a goth but i really like HHC. ok, its my own interests and i like a V-A-R-I-E-T-Y of music but...it begs the question.

Not everyone is a townie LOL. I myself am part mosher (damn I hate that name!!) part raver.....but certainly bordering more on the raver. I'm certainly not a stereotypical "townie". non of the other ravers I know are "townies" either. One of my best mates is a goth, and yet he listens to a bit of hardcore, and trance, alongside metal and goth.

Well, townies tend to go for the big sports labels, like adidas and have a LOT of gel in their hair. That's not why i'd call em townies in an insultive way though, it's just, when people go around in their hoodies and dark baggy jeans (which is the kind of stuff im into) they yell MOSHEEEEEERS and one of my friends bashed one over the head with a skateboard cuz he was insulted. i'll alwys be into HHC but i don't want to find myself in the middle of a rave surrounded by them and their stupid 'innit's and crap
Don't be upset bout calling urself a mosher, cuz it's from moshing (dancing and stuff) at gigs...i think. i decided to start up this topic cuz i was listening to saint goes marching (the hhc version of when the saints go marching in, its goooood) and my sis said, oh thats townie music blaa blaa.

You do get some of those type of people at raves but thankfully they're in the minority, you get all kinds of people & most of them very friendly, listen to what you like & who you like & remember stereotypes are usually a pile of sh*t.

Oh thank JESUS coco ive found u at last. Another thing we've got in common is that i say friggin a lot too!!! Ummm we're supposed to keep this HHC related so, ehhh HHC is nice.

I like plenty of rock/metal bands aswell.....Sabbath, Pantera, Ozzy, Maiden, Motorhead...got more metal/rock/punk allbums than anything else!

ummm i always thought townies were people that primarily just stayed within the vacinity of where they lived. i thought it was ravers that primarily wore adidas? *confused*

i find alot of people in2 slipknot etc liek gabber n stuff and terrorcore etc, i myslef listen to what i want but co zi love hhc and techno etc i get classed as a trendy, townie, raver( which i guess is true:D ) and people r shocked when they ask what else da ya like n i say meatloaf and cheesy 80's stuff:D

I im a skateboarder and I like all sorts of music just that I prefer HHC to others.
lol at "townies" sounds like "homeboys" to me hahaha lotsa different terms all over the world I love it

Firstly-as already said everyone is different & really cant be put in a box labelled "raver", "goth" or "mosher" etc, etc. We can all enjoy many different things & get along, so why the hell not?
Secondly-I'm from Liverpool (UK) & I dont think we have a word for "townie" (even though I know the type of person you mean) & "homeboy" means a black lad (usually referring to him in a gang) so these terms definitely differ all over the country, let alone the world!!!!!

Id probz say that i used 2 be a townie in the way that i used 2 walk round in rockports and addidas trackies listenin 2 hardcore on me walkman but then we were the minority in the town!p.s i did grow out of it!
