The past year has definitely been magnificent for the crew. We have nearly quadrupled the attendance between the first month and last month, gone through three venues, found a new home at the ADC (thanks to Shane of Supreme Sounds), increased our sound and lighting production value tremendously, put hardcore back on the map in the New England scene, and have been host to countless memories (DJ Tre's engagement announcement, dollhouse getting caked in the face, Candy Kid B2B Starkiss for the first time ever in New England, bringing Sonik EP out of retirement to throw down an amazing classic hardcore set, and the formation of many friendships; just to name a few). Now that we have your momentum behind us, we plan to make Hard Hits even better as we enter our second year of operation.
For our first anniversary, we bring you a rare line-up of past special guests with a new special guest to top it all off. Our returning special guests are: PKat, who has been burning up dancefloors with his Little Mermaid cover and other exclusives; Leela, who shredded the dance floor at the July Hard Hits;and DJ Naggy, who is the hot rookie churning out mixes for happyhardcore.com radio and some choons of his own.
As for this month's special guest, we are proud to announce our first special guest from outside of the northeast: DJ Ixnay from Phoenix. DJ Ixnay (formerly known as DJ BosS) is no stranger to hardcore. He has had several mixes make it to the happyhardcore.com radio rotation as DJ BosS at first and his more recent mixes as DJ Ixnay. He spins a blend of energetic and uplifting hardcore laced with superb turntabilism skill which will definitely be a treat for us hardcore fanatics. He also has a weekly radio show on Kraftyradio.com each Thursday from noon to 1 (eastern time). To top off all of his accomplishments, he recently won the NAHM mix competition, which earned him some guest appearances on NAHM.
