Well it seems my last post got a it side tracked so I'll try again ;)
What do you generally call the music? I mean back in the day, Happy Hardcore was a good name for it as it was. But I don't think it is do much now. Its still uplifting energetic music but not the same as it was.
There seems to be 3 distinct types of Hardcore as far as I can figure, thats Old Skool Hardcore, 88-92/4 ish then Happy Hardcore 92/4-00 then just Hardcore 00-??.

any ideas for new names instead of just hardcore
mine would be

hmmm... I'm not sure if the whole genre needs to be renamed, but I definitely agree that some of the new sounds have evolved into something different.
I wish I had some suggestions, but it's impossible for me to come up with anything off hand.
I'll think about it and get back to yall :D

When i say Happyhardcore i refer to the genre of music not the way it sounds ao i would keep the name the same :)
But that's just my opinion :)

^^ amen dude
it's happy hardcore AFAIC - if it ain't broke, don't fix
hell, i think it's great that even though there's such a wide variety of sounds and feelings in hhc it's only ever spawned off one new genre (freeform). if we really wanted to genre-lise it then we can have like a different genre for every label :P

There are many different styles to our scene's music so it should be and stay 'HARDCORE'. Happy Hardcore is just one segment of our music. Put them all together and you have HARDCORE. This is our music!
