It never made it to 6 for the PC unfortunately.... 5.5 is the latest version that I'm running.... think that was the last one.

Personally I am a big Logic fan, despite the fact that it hasn't been updated on the PC in umpteen years. BUT its a personal preference. Get the demos off the various websites (obviously for logic you'll have to use "other sources") and try them out. Logic and Cubase are pretty much the same thing, but Reason is a totally different kettle of fish. Try them out then decide which you want to buy.

Logic isn't available inthe shops for the PC any more, but I do remember seeing some "music production kit" in Blackwells (yes, the book shop) that had a cut down version of Logic, a microphone and something else.

Apple bought out Emagic who make Logic, so it will only be released on OSX from now on.

But Apple are moving to Intel chipsets in January, so anyone with a PC (already) can download OSX, install it on their PC, and then install Logic.

Bo.

If you install a dodgy, hacked version of OSX that is

Ive never used a sequencer before and today was my first shot at it using this, IMO opinion it was a piece of piss, the samples were pretty cheesy to start with, i had fun mucking about.

Cant compare it to any others though as ive never used them.... but im getting Cubase SE3 next month when it comes out.

the samples you get are for demo purposes dude....some lame-O makes universal samples that would be as unoffensive to a chillout hippie producer to...a duch gabba monster...

...would think twice about producing with the samples given in the demo

Exhile uses Cubase, Sarge is using Nuendo (similar to Cubase). Think Bang! use Cubase initially too.
