I am a HUGE fan of reggae.
Dancehall is actually just a sub genre. You also have roots, dub, and lovers' rock.

dancehall is crazy gets me going everytime some of it comes on just can't help but dance its been awhile since i've listened to any of it but.... actually....*runs off to find some dancehall to put on*

but my favs have go to be

saying isn't dancehall just reggae, would be like hardcore is just techno right? dancehall is also called 'ardcore by the jamacans that i now. I love dancehall, to me it sounds like booty house or ghettotech with jamacan mc's. i'm actually rocking a dancehall cd in my car right now! Wickedest Bombaclaught dj's.....Now 'ear dis!

Not a big fan personally... but then my tolerance for any non-electronic genre is reasonably low. Still, I'd prefer it over something like pop.
