this is kinda in respect to the other post u had moaning about fm7.
i remember a while ago i was looking for a proper scouse house donk,
...you no the one i mean.
and when i asked,someone mentioned you need to use an fm synth,talkin about fm7 just reminded me...
so how the hell do you make that donk!
just about everything from scouse,to commertial,to spanish 'donk' all have that bloody noise...and i would doubt they all use the same sample (althoug it never seems to differ in how it sounds on any tack)...
how do you make it!! arghhhh!!!

You can get that sound from subtractive synthesis with a basic FM oscilator and envelope on, the V-Station is a good example, it's good synth for the 'donk' sound, i'll upload a preset that i made if you like :)

my vstations feeling unwell at the moment! wont play along with ableton,but im sure ill sort that out.
ya trevor an simon wer kool...wen i was yunger in ma old house,ma next door neighbour used to dj an that all i would hear throug the walls nite after nite!

Ahhhh grigoair why the hell did you put that clip up am gonna have knightmares.
I'm genuinely really open minded to tunes and have to say like a lotta eurodance/trance, scouse house, commercial dance or whatever it's called and spanish hard house sounds bangin in 3 deck mixes.
But as long as shit like thats comin out nobody will ever take it seriously enough to look through the shit and get to the good tunes.

got an ok donking bassline using v station but not quite as good as trevor and simon yet wheres this preset anyway?

the emu xl-1 rack or xk-6 keyboard has the donk sound as a preset on it but its not something ive got around to using yet, these keyboard/rack is going cheap now as emu dont make em anymore.

Ok here is a couple of presets, you probably won't think they are as good as the ones from hardware synths, but as far as i know its the best the V-Station can do :) Anyway, here they are, i also made an mp3 preview of them aswell:
